At the age of 6 years old, I asked my father “Where does money come from?” He proceeded to tell me that money was made with paper and ink at a government facility. I needed a more in-depth answer, and his response was not enough. I desired to understand how people truly made money. The next question I asked was, “How do they make money?” Well, 30 years later, I answered the question I tried so hard to figure out as a young child. The answer: Money Grows On Trees…If You Plant The Right Seeds!
Many people probably doubt that planting a seed can yield money for you in the future. Planting the right seeds refers to investing in something that is going to work for you while you are not working. A farmer plants seeds and continues to work the land, but the farmer is not working the land every hour of the day. Despite not being there every second of the day, the seed continues to grow and produces a harvest for the farmer. Our finances should be the same way. Whether you invest in a business opportunity, real estate, stocks, or other investments, you should invest in areas that will work for you while you are not working. All too often we purchase items that hurt us financially. These items are often purchased using credit sources with high interest rates, and the items cost more than they are worth. This recessional pattern leads people of all walks of life into present day slavery.
Many people work long hours for little pay. Some work long hours for great pay. Even fewer work a few hours for excellent pay. While money is a necessity to purchase our needs, the time spent earning it is equally important. A lot of money with no time is completely worthless. The Bible clearly states, “What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and to lose his soul?” While many people do not gain a whole lot, they spend a lot of time trying to do so, and ultimately, spend their entire lives chasing a dream that becomes a nightmare.
From a spiritual standpoint, sowing on good ground is often emphasized in worship services. Sowing on good ground will reap a blessing for you similar to sowing naturally on good ground instead of sowing on stony ground. Let God lead you in your sowing, and lean not to your own understanding. Acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths. The Bible states many financial references for us, and we just need to follow them.
While there is no tree that has leaves of money in my yard, I am planting the right sees for my family to reap a financial harvest in the future. Even if I do not live to see it, I am a firm believer that Money Grows On Trees…If You Plant The Right Seeds.
